The problem I can see with it is that it almost seems impossible to have any success in manifesting things through reading it. Why is this?

I am not bashing the Secret book by Rhonda Byrne. It is a huge boost for the New-Age movement, making it hugely popular. This is an awesome book. It is positive, informative and fun. It helps to make the world a better place, and has helped many people to start their own spiritual journeys.
The difference is that the secret behind the secret is really more advanced in its interpretation of the law of attraction, giving you deep insight on how to make it really work in your life. Both books would be great to read, but if you have to choose than get the Secret Behind The Secret first.
